Conrad has 33 years of experience in the insurance industry. He is the Director and Founder of SPUA and most of his expertise is in Complex Insurance Products of the likes of High Hazard, EPS, Derivative-based products.

Conrad was the Branch Manager of Lumley General of Hamilton and Wellington for 15 years. Prior to that, he worked for Royal Insurance in both Auckland and Rotorua. The majority of Conrad’s 33 years experience has been in management roles and in Corporate and Commercial Underwriting. His technical experience is extensive and covers a wide range of products and clients.

Julie Shanly

Julie has worked in the insurance industry for over 30 years working for both multi-national and indigenous broking firms. Most of her responsibilities involved with working with individual  clients on specialist liability solutions as well as  schemes and facilities for various organisational groups.

Julie has a strong background in a wide range of business disciplines, administration, risk and compliance, staff management and risk management practices and is also a qualified risk manager.

She has been involved with for the development and implementation of strategies, plans and processes for SPUA  and legal compliance.

Julie also manages the financial analysis and reporting, accounts payable and receivable has been involved with the development and implementation of strategies, plans and processes and legal compliance for SPUA.

Angela has been with SPUA since 2013 and has helped develop and grow the property portfolio. She is now the Underwriter for both our property binders and has developed a strong understanding of the current market conditions. Angela provides an efficient service and has been involved with the development and implementation of strategies, plans and processes for SPUA.

Angela has a double degree in Commerce majoring in HR and in Science majoring in Psychology.
